MAX MARLOW

About

Max Marlow is a British filmmaker and founder of A Marlow’s Production, a boutique production company best known for its cross-platform slate that - whether for an internet-viral animation or BAFTA-qualifying short - is no stranger to commercial buzz and mass appeal. This follows nearly a decade of experience in major studio films and HETV for Max, having worked on ‘Star Wars IX’, ‘The King's Man’, Netflix's ‘1899’, and most recently as Visual Effects Production Manager on the upcoming Blumhouse feature, ‘Speak No Evil’.

Produced under the banner of A Marlow's Production, animated short 'Thatching Eggs' and related clips have received over 7.2 million views across TikTok and YouTube, screenlife short 'Surprise’ was featured in Variety and directed by Madison De La Garza of ‘Desperate Housewives’ fame, and the Jamael Westman-starring 'Ice Cream & Doughnuts’ (Hamilton, The Essex Serpent) was nominated for Best East-Anglian Film at the BAFTA-qualifying Norwich Film Festival in 2021. He is a member of the Production Guild of Great Britain and was selected for BFI X BAFTA Crew in 2021.

Max’s most recent production, ‘Good Boy’, stars three-time BAFTA-award winner Ben Whishaw (Paddington, Women Talking) and two-time SAG-awardee Marion Bailey (Netflix’s The Crown) in leading roles. Supported by Executive Producers, acclaimed filmmaker Gia Coppola and CEO of Goldcrest Films, Chris Quested, 'Good Boy' is set to premiere at Leeds International Film Festival and has since qualified to be considered for a 2024 Academy® Award for Best Live Action Short Film, and a BAFTA for Best British Short Film this coming awards season.
