MAX MARLOW

About

Max Marlow is a London-based independent producer and freelancer in Film. After graduating from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2017, he earned credits on Lucasfilm's ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and MARV Studios' ‘The King’s Man’. He then relocated to Berlin to coordinate VFX on Netflix's ‘1899’ prior to returning to the U.K. on DC's 'Batgirl' feature. He is a member of the Production Guild of Great Britain and, in 2021, was selected to participate in the prestigious BFI X BAFTA Crew programme.

 

Established in homage to Max's earliest home movies, A MARLOW'S PRODUCTION independently produces projects for screens both big and small, to entertain and inspire audiences around the world: these include the live-action films 'VINCENT' and 'Ice Cream & Doughnuts' - the latter selected to screen at BAFTA/ BIFA qualifying festivals and starring Olivier Award nominated Jamael Westman (Hamilton) and Anita-Joy Uwajeh (National Theatre Live). He also wrote, produced and directed 'Thatching Eggs' - a viral animated short film that has been viewed more than 4.5 million times on CGMeetUp: YouTube’s largest home of animated short films.

 

Max has most recently released Surprise - a Screenlife short film set in an online video call. The project was directed by Madison De La Garza (Desperate Housewives) and boasts an international cast of five TikTok stars with a combined following of over 10-million fans across the globe. It premiered online to international press across E! News, Access Hollywood and a poster-reveal live on Australia's 'The Morning Show' on Channel 7.

Max is currently in post-production as Producer on Good Boy - a live-action short film starring BAFTA-Winner Ben Whishaw (This Is Going To Hurt) and SAG-Winner Marion Bailey (The Crown) in leading roles. The project, written and directed by Tom Stuart (Mainstream), is being produced alongside Kay Loxley for 130 Elektra Films, and Executive Producers Elettra Pizzi, Tom Stuart, Gia Coppola, Alex Gonzalez and Goldcrest Films CEO, Chris Quested.
